Child Care Health Consultation GrantRequest for ProposalsAshe County Partnership for ChildrenHealth ProgramThe Ashe County Partnership for Children is seeking proposals from organization(s) for the provision of child care health and safety consultation to child care providers in Ashe County. The overall goal for this proposal will be to contribute to the development of high quality child care by providing expertise and experience relative to evidence-based health and safety policies and practices in child care settings. The ACPC will use Smart Start funds to contract with an organization employing a public health nurse licensed in the state of North Carolina to provide education, skills training, resources, technical assistance and consultation to providers in licensed child care settings, both center-based and family child care homes. Grantee may also provide referrals to health care resources to families of young children enrolled in these child care settings. Eligible applicants include North Carolina based local public health agencies, local non-profit organizations, physician organizations, medical clinics, hospitals, and/or home care agencies that have a history of providing resources or services to child care providers and have expertise in child care health and safety.Please contact Kay Philipp at the Ashe County Partnership for Children at (336) 982-4588 for required forms and information.Proposals are due to the Partnership office by 3:00pm on December 6, 2013.
