Challenger Sports is returning to the county to hose their British Soccer Camp at Ashe County Parks and Recreation this summer.
The camps will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s team of 1,000 British soccer coaches flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs.
This is the largest soccer camp company in the U.S and each instructor will strive to help each participant improve their technical skills and become a more confident player.
The camp will take place at the Family Central Complex in Jefferson during the week of July 29 through Aug. 2. The camps are for boys and girls, ages three through 16-years-old and each camper receives a free soccer ball and camp T-shirt.
There are four different camps that children can sign up for. The first kicks camp will be from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. each day for three and four-year-olds. The mini-soccer camp will be from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. for four, five and six-year-olds.
Half-day and full day camps are available as well. The half-day camp will take place from 9 a.m. until noon and is open to anyone age six through 16. The full camp will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. for ages eight through 16.
