Ashe County High School seniors are hosting a fundraiser this weekend, April 11 - 13, with all proceeds going to benefit Project Graduation, to be held June 6.

The fundraiser will take place in the parking lot between Ingles and McDonalds, in West Jefferson, and will run Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Sunday from 1 - 6 p.m.

In addition to several prizes being offered, kids can play on an Air Walk and Jumpie Slide and there will be live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Hot dogs and drinks will be available, for a donation.

Prizes include:

• 50 inch TV, donated by Modern Toyota.

• Makita drill, donated by Blevins Building Supply.

• Gas grill, donated by Sexton’s Tree Farm.

All prizes will be given away May 30, on the 580 WKSK Happy Time Show.

Saturday at 3 p.m., the band Hard Times will perform. The Ashe Baptist Association choir, Tanya Hudler Group and Noah Farmer are scheduled to perform Sunday.

Project Graduation offers a night of fun activities for graduating seniors, in a drug and alcohol free environment.

“We want to thank all businesses and residents who support Project Graduation, who have continued to make this alcohol and drug free night possible for our seniors,” event organizer Dianne Eldreth said.

Those interested in donating money to Ashe County’s Project Graduation can mail them to: Ashe County High School, PO Box 1301, Jefferson, NC, 28640.
