Three from Crumpler charged with break-in, theft

Detectives from the Ashe County Sheriffs’ Office recently arrested a Crumpler trio for breaking into a residence and stealing a variety of entertainment and monetary items.


According to a press release from the ACSO, Cory Dean Rash, 22, Mariah Nicole Bowers, 20, and David Wayne Lee, 28, were arrested on July 24, 2014 for breaking into a Crumpler residence and stealing video games, video equipment and silver coins. The three are charged with Breaking and Entering, as well as Larceny after Breaking and Entering. They are currently being held in the Ashe County Detention Center awaiting trial.


Approximately half of the property has been recovered, according to the ACSO.


Detectives Dennis Anders and David Upchurch were the arresting officers.
