A residential unit escaped major damage following a small house fire this morning on Big Flatts Church Road in Fleetwood.
Volunteer firefighters promptly responded to the blaze at around 10 a.m. Fire Marshall Bob Davis explained that there were no injuries as a result of the fire and the structure sustained minimal damage. Although the exact origin of the fire has yet to be determined, early speculation by officials is that it was started by a children's toy. The family of the residence was allegedly at home when the fire started.
Firefighters were seen maneuvering to the rear of the residence in their efforts to battle the blaze.
