WEST JEFFERSON — The renovation of the WilcoHess in West Jefferson began earlier today revealing that the station is set to become a Speedway convenience store.
Speedway, owned by Marathon Petroleum Corporation, has approximately 2,760 locations in 22 states.
According to trade publication Convenience Store News, Marathon Petroleum Corporation has acquired several Hess Corporation convenience stores located in the Southeast and more than half of those have already been converted into the Speedway brand.
Store employees said the convenience store is set to reopen at 6 a.m. on Sept. 18.
