WEST JEFFERSON-Ashe native Ashli Campbell was hired as The Jefferson Post’s newest advertising representative this week.

Campbell, a 2007 graduate of Ashe County High School, will work with clients in Ashe and Watauga Counties, according to Jefferson Post General Manager Teresa Laws.

“Ashli will do an awesome job and I am so excited she is on our team,” Laws said. “She’s a local girl who cares about the community and she has deep roots here. She reminds me of me 18 years ago – someone who is hungry to build a career for her family, somebody who gets how important treating advertisers right is.”

If Campbell’s name sounds familiar, she’s the younger sister of veteran High Country journalist Jesse Campbell, who’s covered Ashe and surrounding counties since 2008. A psychology major at Appalachian State University, Ashli Campbell most recently spent years working in customer service in Boone.

“I’m excited to be back working in my hometown in a role I that I can really grow in,” Ashli Campbell said. “I’m ready to get started.”

In her spare time, Campbell enjoys running, hiking and yoga, in addition to planting kisses on her new son Sawyer.
