Donkey hoops on display

Nathan Ham | Jefferson Post – Donkeys and their brave riders took over the basketball court on Tuesday at Ashe County Middle School. The fundraising event featured tough defense and limited fast break opportunities for the donkey squads. Pictured here, ACMS Athletic Director Mitchell Mash fearlessly rode his trusty steed to the basket for a layup early in the first game. All the money raised from the event went to the Ashe County Middle School athletic programs. This event is the largest fundraiser for the Bulldog athletic programs each year.
