Parents and graduating seniors: It’s almost time for the Jefferson Post’s 2016 graduation special

ASHE COUNTY-There’s little more exciting than watching another group of Ashe County High School seniors walk across the big stage and head off into the world.

Parents and high school seniors have every right to be proud of where they’ve been and where they’re going and the Jefferson Post wants to highlight it all.

We’ll be putting together our 2016 Ashe County High School Graduation Special Section at the end of this month, but we need your help to get it done.

Deadline: May 17, 2016

Send an email to: [email protected] and put your graduating senior’s full name in the subject line.

In the email body include this information:

Student’s Full Name

Parents’ full names

Activities: For example, JV volleyball (9-10), Varsity Volleyball (11-12), HOSA (11-12),

Awards: This can include anything from individual class awards to All State athletic honors or scholarships. If you’ve won something and you’re proud of it, we’d like you to include that information. Simply list the year the award was won (like the activities example above).

Future plans: Do you plan on serving in the military or attending a college or university? What do you plan on majoring in? Include that information here.

Then include your best contact numbers and times to reach you by phone. If there’s something we’re not sure about, we’ll call you to confirm the details.

You could also print this information and bring it by The Jefferson Post – we’re located at 203 W. Second St in West Jefferson beside Hart Power – but sending the information by email makes record keeping and double-checking information easier on our staff.
