WEST JEFFERSON-The North Carolina Highway Patrol said no one was seriously injured in a two car crash on NC-163 Monday morning.

The crash occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. Monday, according to scanner traffic. North Carolina State Trooper Kevin Aldridge said the accident occurred when the driver of a blue Nissan Frontier, traveling east just past the Dr. Pepper Plant, slowed and attempted to turn right onto Ferguson Road.

Aldridge said a trailing vehicle, a white pickup truck, failed to reduce speed leading to an accident that sent the Frontier careening down a hillside and rolled the white pickup.
