The weekly session of the Ashe County District Court was held on Nov. 21 with the Honorable Michael Duncan presiding.
These decisions were handed down by the court:
Larry Edward Elliott: (F) attempted possession of a firearm by felon (P) guilty (J) guilty. 6-17 months DAC suspended sentence, 18 months supervised probation, $150 plus CC. Return any firearms and ammunition. Transfer to unsupervised probation after 6 months if complied.
Rickey Lee Ellison: (T) driving while impaired (P) no contest (J) guilty. 60 days suspended sentence, 12 months supervised probation, $100 plus CC. 24 hours in ACJ, credit time served. (T) driving while license revoked (P) no contest (J) guilty. 45 days suspended sentence, 18 months supervised probation. (M) domestic criminal trespass (P) no contest (J) guilty. 45 days ACJ suspended sentence, credit time served, 18 months supervised probation, no contact with victim for any reason, will be arrested immediately. $100 plus CC.
David Lane Hammonds: (F) larceny of a motor vehicle (P) no contest (J) guilty. 10-21 months active sentence, credit time served.
Gabrial Rangel: (M) misdemeanor probation violation (P) admission of guilt (J) guilty. 30 days active ACJ, failed to comply with 90-96 conditions.
Kimberly D. Stephens: (M) possession of drug paraphernalia (P) no contest (J) 90-96. 6 months supervised probation, submit to tests and searches, 24 hours CWS.
Casey James Ward: (F) obtain property under false pretense - 2 counts - cons. (P) no contest (J) guilty. 13-25 months DAC active sentence, pay $364.00 to 221 grocery, run concurrent with sentence currently serving.
