Seven different scorers helped the Ashe County junior varsity boys capture a 46-17 win over visiting Avery County on Tuesday.


Freshman Colin Ellis led the Huskies with 11 points, eight of those coming in the second half.


Stanton Moore, the only player left from last year’s conference championship team, scored 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds.


James Bittle added nine points, Coco Clay had six points, Judd Price scored four, Tristen Jones had three and Dante Shuler added three points off the bench.


Ashe will host North Surry on Friday and travel to Hibriten next Tuesday before the Miller Insurance/Dr. Pepper JV Invitational Tournament next weekend.
