Oak Hill Academy faced off against Raleigh’s Mt. Zion Christian Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., last Tuesday.
Both teams came out firing in the first quarter and were knotted up at 19-19.
In the second quarter, the Warriors switched to a 2-3 zone and Mt. Zion had no idea what hit them. Oak Hill began pulling away and eventually cruised to an 87-55 win.
University of Virginia signee B.J. Stith led all players with 20 points and grabbed six boards from his guard position.
Senior big man Rokas Gustys scored 19 points, Caleb Martin had 18 points and eight boards, Trevor Manuel scored eight points and Terrence Phillips scored seven points and had a team-high six assists.
With this victory, the Warriors are now 31-3 on the season with six regular season games remaining.
Oak Hill had two games postponed last week due to the powerful winter storm that rolled through the area. The team was scheduled to host High Point Christian Academy on Thursday night and travel to Richmond on Saturday to face Benedictine High School.
Now, the Warriors hit the road for the final regular season trip away from Turner Gymnasium. Oak Hill will be in Thomasville to face New Hope Christian Academy.
The Warriors will then close the regular season with five home games.
