Appalachian State Mountaineer fans will not have to wait long at all to see one of the many benefits of being a member of an FBS conference.

ASU’s home opener against Campbell University will be shown live on ESPN3 on Sept. 6 at 6 p.m. from Kidd-Brewer Stadium.

According to ESPN, their ESPN3 online live sports format is available to 85 million homes across the nation and can be watched on smartphones, tablets, Apple TV and Xbox LIVE.

The Sun Belt currently had 13 games scheduled to broadcast live on ESPN3 over the first three weeks of the 2014 season.

ASU will have its first nationally televised game as a member of the Sun Belt Conference on Sept. 25 with longtime Southern Conference rival Georgia Southern, who also made the move to the Sun Belt. The game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. and will be aired live on ESPNU.
