Lees-McRae freshman Erin Bingham was one of 142 student-athletes from the Bobcat athletic programs that received recognition as a member of the Conference Carolinas Spring Presidential Honor Roll.

Bingham, the former Husky track standout, maintained a GPA of at least 3.20 during her sports season to earn a spot on this prestigious academic list.

The Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll is awarded twice each year for the fall and spring academic semesters.

Bingham was one of nine women’s track athletes to make the list.

The women’s soccer program led the way with 20 members on the honor roll while the men’s cycling team had 18 and men’s soccer had 11.

Conference rival King University led all schools with 205 athletes. Limestone College had the second most with 192 honorees.

This was not the first postseason award for Bingham. After a stellar freshman year that included setting a new conference record in the 100-meter hurdles in 14.81 seconds, Bingham was one of six Lees-McRae track members to be named to the Division II Southeast All-Region Track and Field team.
