Voting starts for online costume contest
Continues through Nov. 9 - cash prizes for overall/category winners
Now that Halloween has come and gone, we’re positive that those who enjoyed the annual event snapped plenty of photos of themselves or friends and family in their costumes.
Now is the time to share those fun photos and have a chance to win a little holiday spending money at The Jefferson Post’s latest online contest at www.jeffersonpost.com.
Voting is taking place now at www.jeffersonpost.com and we, with the help of our title sponsor, Parker Tie Co., and category sponsors, Tis the Season for All Seasons, Dr. Charles Jones MD, James Vannoy & Sons Inc., and Bella Raggaza’s, are urging local residents to vote on the best costumes in the categories of Cutest, Most Original, Funniest and Scariest categories.
The overall vote getter will win $150 with the top vote getters in the individual categories winning $50 each.
“The time is now to choose whose costume was the best during Halloween 2013,” said Cliff Clark, general manager/editor of The Jefferson Post. “
“We’re looking forward to an exciting vote,” Clark said.
The winners of each category are chosen by online votes. Voting began on Sunday, Nov. 3, and continues until Nov. 9. Winners will be notified by email on Nov. 10 and announced in The Post the following week.
To vote and still enter (it’s not too late to enter) for a chance to win, visit www.jeffersonpost.com, click on the “Local Features” link, in the drop down menu clink on “Contests.”
Then fill out the online registration form with contact information that the newspaper will need should you win. If you have entered any past contest sponsored by The Jefferson Post, your user name and password are still valid.
Once you have submitted the photo, show it off to your friends and family and get them to vote early and often.
