The Appalachian State Athletic Program has completed its list of gameday promotions for each of the Mountaineer home football games this season, the school announced on Friday.
ASU’s first home game on Sept. 6 against Campbell will feature two different promotional activities. This game will mark Heroes Day and Hall of Fame Day. ASU will honor and recognize all U.S. Military personnel and veterans as well as local first responders for their work in keeping the country and community safe. This is also ASU Hall of Fame Induction Day. The 2014 class will be honored at halftime.
Next up will be the first ever “Stripe the Stadium” event on Oct. 4 against South Alabama. Each section will have a designated color of shirt to wear whether it is black, yellow, or gold. All students will be asked to wear white and the first 4,000 students at the gate will get a free commemorative white t-shirt.
The final four gameday promotions are familiar to all ASU fans.
Homecoming is set for Oct. 11 against non-conference foe Liberty.
Family Weekend will take place on Nov. 1 against Georgia State.
Nov. 8 will be the annual Black Saturday throw down. This season, the Mountaineers will host Louisiana-Monroe and of course, all fans are asked to wear black to the game.
The final promotions will be Fan Appreciation Day and Senior Day, both taking place on Nov. 29 against Idaho.
As a reminder, single game tickets will go on sale Aug. 5.
