On Dec. 5, the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office charged Seth Bower, 22, of West Jefferson with breaking into a coin/currency machine and first degree trespassing. Bower was released on a written promise to appear in court.

On Dec. 6, the ACSO charged Justin O’Bryan Barnes, 23, of West Jefferson with breaking into a coin/currency machine and first degree trespassing. Barnes was released on a written promise to appear in court.

On Dec. 6, the ACSO charged Anthony Brett Calloway, 25, of Jefferson with breaking into a coin/currency machine and first degree trespassing. Calloway was released on a written promise to appear in court.

On Dec. 6, the ACSO charged Traci Livingston McKinney, 37, of Roan Mountain, Tenn., with one count of larceny by an employee. McKinney is currently incarcerated facing a $5,000 bond.

The ACSO announces the following crime stopper alert:

The victim of a crime of larceny is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who stole a 2002 homemade trailer. Trailer was 16 feet long, red in color, loaded with six-foot Christmas trees, bearing tag number BE81837. Trees were marked with purple and black striped tags.

The trailer was stolen Thursday, Dec. 6 from NC 88 W near Woods Grocery.
