James is the son of Jerry and Mildred Testerman of Grassy Creek, NC. He attended Northwest Ashe High School and is a graduate of Wilkes Community College. He is employed with Ashe County Environmental Services.
Amanda is the daughter of Donnie and Martha Osborne of West Jefferson, NC, and Christine Cruz of Crumpler, NC. She attended Ashe Central High School and is a graduate of Wilkes Community College. She is employed at Ashe Services for the Aging and at the Crumpler Post Office.
The couple is planning a May 10, 2008 wedding at Friendship Baptist Church in Jefferson, NC.
