Ashe County junior varsity teams picked up a pair of wins over East Wilkes on Friday.
The JV Lady Huskies came away with a close 38-35 victory. Savannah Brooks led all scorers with 19 points. Laura Hodgson added seven, Tyler Eller scored three and Hannah Andrews had four points. Haley Cooper scored two and Brooke Hogg hit a free throw to round out the scoring.
The JV boys kept things going with a 55-37 triumph. Stanton Moore had a huge game in the post with 18 points and 14 rebounds and Alex Spencer added 18 as well.
Ashe girls will return to action on Friday against Alleghany while the boys will take the court first on Tuesday at Avery.
