Rev. Goss was born on Nov. 28, 1945 in Ashe County to Lin and Sibbi Barker Goss. Rev. Goss was preceded in death by one brother, George Wayne Goss, and one half brother, Robert Goss.
Rev. Goss was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. He loved to play ball when he was younger. He was a member of Lansing High School football team that had two undefeated seasons. He built Goss Cable Vision. He was also a jailer for Ashe County Sheriff’s Office for many years.
Rev. Goss is survived by his wife, Anna Lee Testerman Goss; one son, Chris Goss of Raleigh; two daughters, Angie Sexton and husband, Eugene, of Jefferson, and Beverly Curley and husband, Joseph, of Boone; three brothers, Dean Goss and wife, Ann, of Jefferson, Gene Goss of Jefferson, and Rev. Steve Goss and wife, Phyllis, of Boone; one sister, Carol Driver and husband, Donald, of Seattle, Wash.; two granddaughters, Crystal Taylor Blevins and husband, Mikey, and Cassandra Kerley and husband, Dustin; three grandsons, Kaleb Sexton, Corbin Winebarger and Austin Goss; two great granddaughters, Danae Kerley and Kinzley Blevins; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Steve Goss, the Rev. Lonnie Jones and the Rev. Joey McClure. Burial followed in Dixon - Testerman Cemetery. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Badger Funeral Home Chapel.
