Mr. Timothy Wayne Penley of West Jefferson died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at his home. He was 46.
Mr. Penley was born March 29, 1966, in Jefferson to Loyd and Wilda Greer Penley.
Mr. Penley was preceded in death by his mother; and brothers, James and John Penley. He was always a happy person who never met a stranger. He loved to go fishing and camping.
Mr. Penley is survived by his father, Loyd Penley; two sisters, Sarah Osborne and husband Tracy and Rachel Holsclaw, all of West Jefferson; four brothers, Bobby Greer and wife Terry, Jimmie Penley and wife Amanda, Dale Penley, all of West Jefferson, and Joseph Lee Penley and wife Sirena of Lenoir; three godchildren, Selena Keys, Ava Keys and Nevaeh Holsclaw; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the Big Laurel Mennonite Church by Rev. Kirby Herman and Rev. Mike Farmer. Burial will follow in Greer Bentley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Badger Funeral Home.
