Mrs. Grace Howell Faw of Lansing died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was 89.
Mrs. Faw was born May 17, 1923, in Ashe County to Webb and Dora Dickson Howell.
Mrs. Faw was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer Jones Faw; sister, Bertha Faw; and four brothers, Glenn, Carson, Vaughn and Goss Howell.
She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and enjoyed attending. She retired from Sprague Electric.
Mrs. Faw is survived by one daughter, Shirley Baldwin and husband Darrell of Lansing; one son, Chuck Faw and wife Brenda of Lansing; one brother, Larry Howell of Charlotte; three grandchildren, Greg Baldwin and wife Shelia, Jennifer Shumate and husband Mark and Derrick Faw and wife Samantha; one great grandchild, Allison Faw; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Charles McCoy. Burial will follow in Howell Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon-1 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.
