The Ashe County cross country teams picked up several postseason awards, including three all-conference selections, six honorable mention choices, and Mountain Valley Coach of the Year.

Head coach Marybeth Knight was chosen as the MVAC Coach of the Year among all women’s cross country teams. She helped guide the Lady Huskies to the 2012 MVAC Championship for the second year in a row.

Mac Church and Tyler Eller were chosen to the MVAC All-Conference team. Alexes Armstrong, Chelsea Eller, Victoria Reed and Chrissy Simmons were honorable mention selections.

For the men, freshman Andrew Tedder ended the year as an all-conference runner. Gareth Berry and Jonathan Nichols were named to the honorable mention list.
