Ashe unemployment drops to 12.1 percent in March
Ashe County’s jobless rate fell to 12.1 percent in March, according to the latest figures from the N.C. Division of Employment Security. The March rate was down 0.9 percent over February, and 1.2 percent since March, 2012. The county has now registered double-digit unemployment for 51 consecutive months.
