Seventh grade boys beat Johnson County

WARRENSVILLE — The Ashe County Middle School seventh grade basketball teams split a pair of games against Johnson County last Tuesday.

The Lady Bulldogs fell a bit short against the Longhorns. Johnson County held on for a 34-28 win.

The boys’ team picked up a 39-34 victory in the team’s second game of the young season.

ACMS makes the return trip to Johnson County on Tuesday with all four teams in action. On Thursday, the seventh grade teams will be at home against West Wilkes while the eighth grade teams will be on the road against West.

Next week, the seventh graders will be at home against North Wilkes while the eighth grade teams will be on the road at North.
