CLAREMONT — The Ashe County Huskies traveled to Bunker Hill on Tuesday for the second of two meetings between the two schools this year. Bunker Hill made the trip to Ashe for the first game of the 2015-16 season in November.

Since this was an Endowment Game, only the varsity teams made the trip.

Colin Ellis finished the game with 10 points and five boards and Caleb Key had his best varsity game of the year, adding eight points off the bench. Malachi Poe ended up with seven points and Dylan Little chipped in two points.

Bunker Hill did a great job on defense against Ashe’s top three scorers. The Bears held Judd Price to three points, Dante Shuler to two points and Kendall Richardson to just one point.

Central finished last year with a 26-4 record and defeated Kinston in the 2A championship game by three points.
