Peggy grew up in the Glendale Springs community and graduated from Jefferson High School. She married Dudley Hartzog of Ashe County, a graduate of Beaver Creek High School. They live in Florida and have a summer home at Peggy’s homeplace in Glendale Springs where they stay every year while visiting family and friends.
