To the editor:
As many of you already know, Ken Triplett was in a construction accident Tuesday, Aug 5, and he has been in North Carolina Baptist Medical Center since the accident.
To all the people who have donated money, sent cards, and who have taken the time to come see us and for everyone who has been praying for his recovery we would like to say thank you and ask everyone to continue their prayers for his full recovery.
Special thanks to the staff of Alleghany Memorial and for the Alleghany EMS for their care. They are such special people for doing what they do to help others; and to Craig Hensdell’s Crane Service for everything his crane operator did to help. This was NOT their fault and they have been so good to call and check in on us.
Ken has been doing construction work for about 40 years, and he has also been a very dedicated firefighter for several years. You all mean so much to us it is impossible to explain how deeply we appreciate everything that has been done for us. To all the people of Alleghany, Ashe, Wilkes and Surry counties and everywhere else you are some fine people to do what you have done for us May God deeply bless all of you.
For all the friends, family and people we have never even met that have been praying for him and us there is no way we could have imagined that he had so many friends and the kindness shown to us from everyone is so deeply humbling.
If you have been close to him and/or his family and this is the first you are hearing about this we greatly apologize that you have not been informed but there is no way we can contact everyone we know much less everyone that he knows that we don’t. But please continue all of the prayers for his full recovery thank you all very much
Ann, Hope, David, Matt
And all of the family
