Margaret Kathleen Wilson Estep, 76, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Snellville, GA. A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 16, at Anchor Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Hammock officiating.

Kathy was born on February 20, 1932 in Ashe County, Green Valley community, to Alex and Margaret Barlow Wilson.

She was a homemaker and a member of Anchor Baptist Church. After losing her eyesight, Kathy loved listening to audio books and visiting with family.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Hillie K. Estep of Loganville, GA; and daughters, Pam Wordes and husband, Bob, of Snellville, GA, Diane Santiago and husband, Ed, of Lawrenceville, GA and a son, Ken Estep of Tucker, GA; grandchildren, Danielle and Stephanie Wordes, Dustin Santiago, and Sean Santiago and wife, Misty, of Georgia. Other survivors: sisters-in-law Betty Huddelston and Lillian Lowe, brother-in-law Jay Estep and their families, and niece Anita Stewart of Georgia.

Kathy is survived locally by nephews, Doug Stapleton and wife, Wanda, Ronnie Stewart and wife, Lois, and a niece Margaret McCoy and husband, Walter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Mary Nell Stapleton, Ann Stewart, and Helen Snyder, and a brother, Glenn Wilson.
