Stephen John Bare, “John John,” age 18, of Lincoln University, died Saturday, October 18, 2008 as a result of an automobile accident.

Born in Newark, DE, he was the son of Stephen Jon Bare of Lincoln University and Lorraine Cann Bare of Bear, DE.

Stephen was a student at UTI Technical School in Exton. While going to school, he worked in the family business N.L.S. Systems of New London. He was a 2008 graduate of Avon Grove High School. He enjoyed four-wheeling in Potter County, working on cars, and he just recently became owner of his first Harley Davidson motorcycle. Most of all, he enjoyed helping others and being with his friends and family.

Survivors include, in addition to his parents, one sister, Sarah Nicole Bare of Landenberg, PA; his paternal grandparents, John and Margo Bare of New London, PA; his maternal grandmother, Theresa Cann of Wilmington, DE; and his many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including Aunt Kim who was like a second mom to him. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Hugh Cann.

A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22 at the West Grove United Methodist Church, 300 N. Guernsey Rd., West Grove, PA 19390. Family and friends visited with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21 at the Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home Inc., 200 Rose Hill Rd., West Grove, and from 9-10 a.m. the morning of the service at the church. Interment was in New London Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
