Fannie McClure Church

Mrs. Fannie McClure Church, age 83, of Lansing, passed away Sunday morning, Oct. 30, 2011 at Margate Health & Rehab Center.
Mrs. Church was born in Ashe County on Saturday, May 12, 1928 to the late Rev. Edward Rufus and Edna Eller McClure. She spent her time as a housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Clifford Church; three sons, Roger Church and wife, JoAnn, of Lansing, Kenny Church and wife, Janet, of Swainsboro, Ga., and Mike Church of Creston; one daughter, Debbie Pruitt and husband, Mickey, of Crumpler; two sisters, Hazel Dillard of Wilmington, Del., and Mozell Powers and husband, Elmer, of Lansing; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Boone Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Sheets and the Rev. Joe Riley Blevins officiating. Burial followed in the Scott-Blevins Cemetery.
The family received friends 6-8 p.m. on Monday at Boone Family Funeral Home.
