Registration for the 2011 Industrial Basketball League, hosted each year by Ashe County Parks and Recreation, is set to begin in just a couple of days. Registration for the men’s league, as well as the women’s league, will begin on Thursday, Dec. 1.

This year, the men’s league will start earlier than the women’s league with registration for the men ending on Jan. 9 and the final registration date for the women’s teams on Feb. 7.

Team Rosters may have as many as 15 people and players must be at least 16 years of age to play. Games will be played on Monday through Thursday evenings at Family Central.

The fee for each time that signs up will be $450 and each team is guaranteed to play at least 14 games.

As always, a team captain meeting will be held before teams begin play. The men’s captain meeting will be held on Jan. 9 at 6 p.m. while the women’s meeting will be on Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. Both meetings will take place at Family Central.
