Mr. Lacy Elmer Miller of West Jefferson died Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was 70.

Mr. Miller was born on Aug. 11, 1941, in Beckley, W.Va., to James Marion and Dora Shepherd Miller.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents; sister Reatha Wood; and brother Don Miller.

Mr. Miller is survived by a daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Price of Creston; two sons, David Wayne Miller of Lansing and Billy Jack Maine of Va.; two sisters, Goldie Byrd of Galax, Va., and Madaelline Roop; two brothers, Carroll Dean Miller of Lansing and Jimmy Miller of Tennessee; six grandchildren, Amanda May, Pamela Jones, Michael Miller, David Wayne Miller Jr., Robert Anthony Miller and Benjamin Miller; eight great grandchildren, Hailey May, Heather May, Cody Medley, Dalton Jones, Addison Jones, Rachael Miller, Jacob Miller and Kate-Lynn Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. David Lyall, Rev. Leon Miller, Rev. Earl Roten and Brother Anthony Roark. Burial followed in Perry Cemetery.

The family received friends at Badger Funeral Home Chapel.
