Ashe County saw two of its tennis athletes placed on the 2012 Mountain Valley All-Conference awards list.
Senior Zeb Richardson and junior Sam Bowers were chosen to represent ACHS on the list.
Elkin swept the two top awards for men’s tennis this season. Tyler Macy captured MVAC Player of the Year honors while his head coach Tony Duncan was named MVAC Coach of the Year.
Joining Richardson and Bowers on the All-Conference list were David Bullins (Elkin), Greylin Cleary (East Wilkes), Evan Day (Wilkes Central), Steven Furr (Wilkes Central), Ashton Gant (Elkin), Blake Goins (Forbush), Parker Jordan (Wilkes Central), Garrett Lakey (Wilkes Central), Calvin Macemore (East Wilkes), Tyler Macy (Elkin), Jesse Massucco (Wilkes Central), Jeremiah Morrison (Elkin), Cory Osborne (East Wilkes), Kartik Patel (Wilkes Central), Andrew Peterson (Elkin), Daniel Poindexter (Forbush), Tyler Reece (Forbush), Alvin Sales (East Wilkes), Ryan Schell (Elkin), Luke Sealey (East Wilkes), Taylor Sharpe (Forbush), and Christopher Shew (East Wilkes).
