To the Editor:
As coordinators for the 2012 Christmas in July parking lot project, whose receipts help support the Ashe County Civic Center, we thank Fifth-Third Bank, First Citizens Bank and Dr Pepper for allowing us again to use their parking lots to park cars during the festival on Saturday (July 7).
We are also indebted to our many friends who helped us in this effort by collecting the money and handing out receipts. And of course, we thank the many people of Ashe County and beyond who parked in our lots. It was a hot, sunny and almost windless day, so we greatly appreciate this help under trying conditions. Thanks again to all!
