Former Husky standout Zeb Richardson scored six points for the West All-Stars in a 107-97 win against the East All-Stars.
The game, which took place at the Greensboro Coliseum on Monday, featured the top senior basketball players in the state battling each other for bragging rights in their final high school basketball games.
Shawn Lester from Mooresville High School led the West team in scoring with 20 points, and was named Most Valuable Player. Rob Noyes (Freedom) scored 15 points; Nathan Jones (Davie County) added 13, as did KeShun Sherrill of West Rowan. Tracy Gathings Jr. (Ben L. Smith HS) chipped in with 12 points, Justin Cousin (Graham HS) and Shannon Dillard (Davie County) each added eight, while Diondre Pratt (Anson Count) and Pierre Givens (North Rowan) rounded out the scoring with six points apiece.
For the East team, Denzel Ingram (Chapel Hill) led all scorers with 23 points. Terrill Hilliard (Rocky Mount) scored 16 points, DeAndre Mason (West Bladen) added 13, Shi’Chee Moore (Millbrook) had 10 and Elon Edwards (J.H. Rose) scored 10 to cap off the double-digit scorers for the eastern half of the state. Alex Bradley (Pine Forest) finished with eight points, Josh Mellette (Southern Lee) added six points, Tyler Thayer (Hoggard) ended up with five, Dominique Reed (Garner) finished with four and finally Chris Bennett (Fayetteville 71st) finished the East All-Star scoring with two points.
