Arrested were Julia Beth Hvostel, age 37, and Thomas Wyatt, age 27. A meth lab was seized as part of that investigation.
The release reads that Hvostel was charged with Manufacture of a Schedule II Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Dwelling for Sale and Delivery of Controlled Substance. She is currently in jail under a $55,000 bond. Wyatt was arrested on charges of Manufacture of a Schedule II Controlled Substance. He is currently in jail under a $50,000 bond. Both are awaiting first appearance on Thursday, Aug. 16.
Two small children were taken from the residence in Jefferson and taken to Ashe Memorial Hospital emergency department, the release reads. The children were examined and then released into the custody of the Department of Social Services. Charges are pending relating to the children.
