Central Davidson nearly pulled off a huge upset over the top-seeded Huskies, but the resilient Ashe team battled back for a 3-2 victory.

Cesar Ruiz scored two goals, including the game winner with under two minutes to play. Frank Ledezma had the tying score a few minutes earlier in the half.

Ashe will face Trinity in the second round after they easily handled West Stanly, 7-0. The game will take place Saturday. No start time has been announced at this time, but will most likely be 4 p.m.
