Anna Lee Hurley Goodman, age 80, of 109 Charlie Road, Troutman, NC passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 19, 2009 at her residence.
She was born in Ashe County on May 14, 1928 to the late Jackie and Mallie Testerman Hurley. She was married to Jim Goodman on Dec. 23, 1948 for 44 years until his death on May 29, 1993.
She is survived by one son, Ray Lynn Goodman; one daughter, Darlene G. Loftis (Randy) both of Troutman; three grandchildren, Crissy L. Armstrong (Brian), Lee Loftis, both of Troutman, and Zachary Goodman of Rock Hill, S.C.; and one sister, Georgie H. Barker of Lansing.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Goodman was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifford and Kenneth Hurley, and a foster brother, Sonny Brooks.
Visitation with family and friends was held from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, at the Troutman Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Anna Lee Hurley Goodman were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at Ostwalt Baptist Church with the Rev. Wesley Morris and the Rev. Joe Conley officiating. Burial followed at the Iredell Memorial Park.
