Mrs. Toshiko ‘Keiko’ Shiroma McNeill

Mrs. Toshiko “Keiko” Shiroma McNeill of Fort Mill, S.C., formerly of Ashe County, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at Carolina Medical Center in Pineville. She was 78.

Mrs. McNeill was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Naha, Okinawa, Japan to Shinpan and Masako Machida Shiroma.

She was a member of North Beaver Baptist Church.

Mrs. McNeill was preceded in death by her parents; her husband James Wiley McNeill Jr.; four brothers; and two sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda McNeill and Larry Todd of Fort Mill, S.C., Shirley Combs and husband Rev. Allen Combs of Crumpler; four grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Orion Baptist Church in Jefferson with Rev. David Blackburn officiating. The family will receive friends at Orion Baptist Church from 2-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Beaver Baptist Church Building Fund, 4345 NC Highway 163, West Jefferson, NC 28694.
