The men’s and women’s track teams each grabbed first place in a meet held last Wednesday at Ashe County High School.


Ashe’s men scored 105 points to take first place, well ahead of second place Wilkes Central (28 points) and third place West Wilkes (four points).


On the women’s side, the scores were a bit closer, but Ashe placed first with 64 points. West Wilkes finished second with 44 points and Wilkes Central was third with 23 points.


Here are Ashe’s top finishers in each event:


Women’s discus: Madison Little (first place) – 89 feet, two inches.


Men’s discus: Brandon Wingler (second place) – 114 feet, nine inches, Parker Dunne (third place) – 103 feet, 11 inches, Jake Woods (fourth place) – 96 feet, five inches.


Women’s shot put: Little (second place) – 30 feet, six inches.


Men’s shot put: Dunne (first place) – 40 feet, 10 inches, Woods (second place) – 39 feet, eight inches, Wingler (fourth place) 38 feet, two inches.


Women’s triple jump: Aspen Domske (first place) – 32 feet, three inches.


Men’s triple jump: Austin Bennett (first place) – 39 feet, two inches.


Women’s long jump: Domske (first place) – 15 feet, two inches, Hailey Richardson (second place) – 14 feet, two inches.


Men’s long jump: Jacob Blevins (first place) – 19 feet, four inches, Bennett (second place), 17 feet, six inches, Ronald Goodlander (third place) 15 feet, nine inches.


Women’s 100-meter hurdles: Erin Bingham (first place) – 15.84 seconds, Paige Spell (third place) – 17.46 seconds.


Men’s 110-meter hurdles: Blevins (first place) – 16.1 seconds, Tyler Church (third place) – 19.84 seconds.


Women’s 100-meter dash: Bingham (first place) – 13.4 seconds, Amber Hare (second place) – 13.67 seconds, Richardson (third place) – 14 seconds, Spell (fourth place) – 14.07 seconds.


Men’s 100-meter dash: Blevins (first place) – 11.5 seconds, Goodlander (second place) – 12.53 seconds, Richard Isaacs (third place) – 12.58 seconds, Hunter Argetsinger (fourth place) – 12.79 seconds.


Women’s 1600-meter run: Victoria Reed (second place) – 5:59.


Men’s 1600-meter run: Gareth Berry (first place) – 4:57, Helmer Alvarez (second place) – 5:19.


Women’s 400-meter dash: Hare (first place) – 1:04.


Men’s 400-meter dash: R.J. Burke (first place) – 57.8 seconds, Landon Bush (second place) – 58.9 seconds, Germain Horodyski (third place) – 1:01, Jonathan Nichols (fourth place) – 1:02.


Men’s 300-meter hurdles: Zach Outen (first place) – 46.6 seconds.


Women’s 800-meter run: Reed (second place) – 2:43, Maize Chapman (fourth place) – 3:27.


Women’s 200-meter dash: Bingham (first place) – 27.3 seconds, Richardson (second place) – 28.2 seconds, Hare (fourth place) – 29.63 seconds.


Men’s 200-meter dash: Blevins (first place) – 23.2 seconds, Bush (third place) – 25.9 seconds, Goodlander (fourth place) – 26.35 seconds.


Women’s 3200-meter run: Sophie Wolfe (second place) – 16:08.


Men’s 3200-meter run: Berry (first place, no time available), Andrew Tedder (second place) – 11:48.
