The Ashe County Board of Education will meet Monday night at the boards Annex in Jefferson.
The board may be discussing candidates for the superintendents position. Board members plan to interview a candidate for the position tonight (Friday), according to Chairman Charlie King.
Any type of discussion will be held in closed session. A vote on the position would be held in open session, King said. Board members had originally hoped to hire the next superintendent in the early part of May.
