Mr. Clayton Neal Bare

Mr. Clayton Neal Bare, better known as Neal, of West Jefferson, died on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson. He was 59.

Mr. Bare was born on April 28, 1953, in Ashe County, to Claude Edgar and Mary Viola Miller Bare.

Mr. Bare was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William Howard Bare.

Mr. Bare was a member of Howards Creek Baptist Church and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church and Meat Camp Baptist Church. Neal was a professional land surveyor, he worked numerous places and was licensed in five states. He served as the secretary treasurer for the North Carolina Society of Surveyors, he also served as President of the NW North Carolina Chapter. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved yorkies, Jobbie and Sophie. He enjoyed tohelp people and he never met a stranger. Neal was a loving husband, father and brother he will be missed by all.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Sammuel Shupe and Elder James McNeill. Burial followed in Riverview Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family received friends on Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at Badger Funeral Home.

Mr. Bare is survived by his wife, Paige Albert Bare of West Jefferson; son, Brandon Scott Bare of Boone; two sisters, Nina Bare and Louise Hartzog, both of West Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews.
