Mrs. Doris Phillips Sullivan of Jefferson died Saturday May 26, 2012 at Watauga Medical Center. She was 91.

Mrs. Sullivan was born in Ashe County on Monday, July 19, 1920 to the late Eli Phillips and Cory Denny.

She is survived by her one son, Bill Sullivan and wife, Marie, of Warrensville; three daughters, Betty Hayter and husband, Tommy, of Abingdon, Va., Nancy Lethcoe and husband, Ed, of Conover, and Sue Dalton and husband, Bob, of Yadkinville; one sister, Ruth Clark of Elkton, Md.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at noon on Tuesday, May 29, at Boone Family Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Goss officiating. Burial followed in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 29, at Boone Family Funeral Home.
