Thomas Edison Miller
Thomas Edison “Tom” Miller of Charlotte died July 3, 2012 at his home. He was 82.
He was born Nov. 10, 1929, in Ashe County to the late George and Francis Miller. He was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Lenna Bare Miller; son, Thomas W. Miller and wife, Shelly, of Indian Trail; daughter, Kim Renee Houston and husband, Marc, of Charlotte; brother, Claude Miller of West Jefferson; sister, Glenna Jones of West Jefferson; and grandchildren, Sarah Nicole Miller and Mandalynn Renae Miller.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 6, at James Funeral Home, 10520 Arahova Dr. Huntersville, NC 28078, with the Rev. Bob Symanski officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior. Burial followed at NorthLake Memorial Gardens.
