Backstreet Concert Series continues Aug. 28 with Claybank

WEST JEFFERSON — The Backstreet Park Summer Concert Series continues with Claybank on Friday, Aug. 28 from 5:30-7 p.m.

Claybank is known for it’s traditional bluegrass music with a modern twist. Comprised of Gary Trivette on bass, Tyler Thompson on banjo, Jacob Greer on guitar and Zack Arnold on mandolin, Claybank is an up and coming group from the High Country.

The award winning band has performed at festivals including Music Fest ‘n Sugar Grove and the Ola Belle Reed Homecoming Festival and are scheduled to perform at events all across North Carolina.

The Backstreet Park Concert Series showcases traditional, old time, and bluegrass music on most Friday nights from 5:30- 7 p.m., May through September.

The Series will continue with the Zephyr Lightning Bolts on Friday, Sept. 4.

The event is sponsored by community organizations and admission is free.
