Bledsoe named Career and Technical Education ‘Student of the month’

WEST JEFFERSON-Ashe County High School’s Career and Technical Education Student of the Month for February is Matthew Bledsoe, left, shown with Parker Tie Owner Rick Woodie. “Matthew is currently enrolled in Cabinet Making 2 class at the High School, but has had many CTE classes including Masonry, Auto Tech, Drafting and Carpentry,” Pugh said. “His work, both in class and in the shop areas, has been of the highest quality. He has been awarded Student of the Week on several occasions and has demonstrated a steady, professional attitude toward each subject he has had. In class he is a leader by example and in the lab areas he is someone you can count on to get the job done right the first time. His classmates look to him for help, knowing that if there is anything he can do to assist them, he will. Matthew is one of those workers you know will do well no matter what he chooses to do in the future.”
