JEFFERSON-A man riding a moped was killed Friday night in a single vehicle crash on Frank Dillard Road.

According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, Mark Anthony Taylor, 54, of Jefferson, was traveling north on Frank Dillard Road when he traveled off the road to the left, went over an embankment and into a creek. Little Naked Creek runs alongside much of Frank Dillard Road.
