Hambright later arrested at Ashe Memorial Hospital



JEFFERSON-A Lansing man was arrested at Ashe Memorial Hospital earlier this month after leaving the scene a single-car accident, according to a state highway patrol’s report.

John Lyne Hambright, of 3224 North Fork New River Road, was travelling north on U.S. 221 on June 6, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway before striking a tree. Authorities said he left the scene of the accident on foot.

He was later located at Ashe Memorial Hospital that same day day.

Hambright was charged with DWI by inhaling toxic vapors. Trooper R.K. Aldridge was the investigating officer in the case.
